Thirty-Seventh Annual

E.C. Barksdale Essays in History

Awards

Students are invited to submit papers in one of the following categories. Only one paper per student is all the will be permitted. A first place award will be granted to the best paper in each category. The deadline for submissions is March 3, 2008.

Karl B. Lackner Non-US History George Wolfskill US History
The Karl B. Lackner Non-US History Division welcomes papers from both Undergraduate and Graduate students on any Non-US History topic. First place prizes of $200 will be awarded to the best submissions in the Undergraduate and Graduate categories.

The George Wolfskill US History Division welcomes papers from both Undergraduate and Graduate students on any US History topic. First place prizes of $200 will be awarded to the best submissions in the Undergraduate and Graduate categories.

McKnightRabunWilliamson Texas History Phi Alpha Theta Transatlantic History

The McKnight•Rabun•Williamson Texas History Division welcomes papers from Undergraduate students on topics in Texas History, such as labor, women’s, or Native American studies. A first prize of $200 will be awarded to the best Undergraduate submission.

The Phi Alpha Theta Transatlantic History Division welcomes papers from Graduate students on any topic in   Transatlantic History. A first prize of $200 will be awarded to the best Graduate submission.
